EDC Day 1

     Alright first things first. Gotta shout out my boy Bobby Reyes and the whole eventvibe.com crew! Such an amazing weekend with those guys, its always a blast hanging with them. I'll try to keep the reading to a minimum through the 3 post, but it helps to give some detail ya know!
Anyone who's known me for the past 2 years has know that I've always wanted to shoot EDC, so when Bobby let me know I'd be able to roll with the EV crew I was super pumped. I knew I had to bring my A game too because all of Insomniacs best photographers would be there and there would be plenty of other competition. We got in Vegas Thursday night to chill and see DADA LIFE at club Tryst. Bobby and Jeremy were shooting the rest of us just had a good time.
     Friday was go time. We're on our way to the venue, I break out my camera to fire off some test shots in the shuttle. Oh by the way, big ups to Insomniac for providing the Artist/Media/Guestlist peeps with free shuttle from the hotels to the Las Vegas Speedway! That made it sooo much easier to travel. Not only did we get free shuttle, we also go dropped inside the event! So no long lines :) So yah man I'm about to fire off some test shots and my screen reads NO CF CARD. I'm like wtf? I checked my bag, nothing. I call home, and sure enough the damn card is in my fucking card reader on my computer. LUCKILY Mr.Reyes saved my ass AGAIN lol. He had a 1GB card that I could use. It only holds about 225 shots BUT thats better than nothing. I get my wish of the year to shoot EDC and I forget the most important thing....a memory card. What an idiot lol. So basically the whole night I shot a bunch, deleted pics, shot a bunch, deleted pics, repeat. Got some OK shots, BUT I was too busy focusing on having room to shoot.

EDC Day 2

     Soooooo day 2 I was like yo first thing first gotta get a damn CF card. Took my ass to walmart, bought a new 8GB card. Now that I got all the memory that I need I was able to get the shots that I wanted. Day 1 I shot some wack ass shit, couldnt really experiment. So day 2 I had to go hard in the paint. Problem is....day 2 had 150K people. Everyone and there mom was there, which means hard as hell to get stage access to get those super close shots.
      I started off by getting some long exposures of a few rides here and there, got some shots of and inside the media room. Its superrrr dope in there, free water, hook ups for laptops, phone chargers, food, etc. Vegas EDC is just shitting all over L.A hahah. Also you'll notice tagging in some of the pictures. Yeah, you can take EDC out of L.A. but you cant take L.A out of EDC haha. Most of the people I met were from L.A or San Diego anyway. Cali brung that shit!!

   The next pics were taking around 5am and people were still raging hard! Also, I've never seen the strip so damn empty! I guess thats the only time it is clear is early early earlyyyyyyyy in the morning lol.
